A few bumps and bruises didn't hurt anyone did it? We didn't think so. Our 1978 Ford F-250 2WD SuperCab pickup offers a great color combination from the factory; Regular and Deluxe TuTone Bright Dark Blue Metallic and Wimbledon White. Although she's seen some wear and tear on her body, the older repaint shows some great patina. More importantly, however, the truck owes its entire history to Central California; where the dry climate has allowed this one to age gracefully. Without any signs of significant rot or rust, this 2WD SuperCab offers a unique opportunity for future 4x4 conversion, light restoration or simply enjoyed as is. Aside from recent servicing, the truck has received a new spray-in bedliner and is now ready to be used for working out back in the yard.
This truck was sold new on August 31st, 1978 by Jim Burke Ford of Bakersfield, California and acquired from Northern California at the end of 2021. Despite the patina, this truck has wonderful body lines and the original racetrack trim along the bodysides are in terrific shape. In fact, per the truck's Marti Report, this truck is 1 of only 17 F-250 SuperCabs made in this color combination and trim for '78. Just another reason why this handsome truck deserves to be well cared for by its newest caretaker.
