This 1983 Ford F-150 was originally purchased brand new from Richmond Motor Company by an elderly couple who lived in Richmond, Va. It's said they used it for Church on Sunday mornings and for the occasional grocery run. Otherwise, it spent most of its time hanging out in the garage. The truck was eventually sold to a local school teacher after approximately 34 years of ownership in 2017 with just over 40,000 miles. The Virginia teacher continued to keep this beauty in the garage only to use for the occasional sunny day trip to school. Finally he decided to sell it to a young man in Maine in 2021 with approximately 42,000 miles. Luckily the young man knew what he was buying and decided to drive it only to a couple local car shows. He decided to sell it the same year, only putting on a few hundred miles, to a local Ford collector. He wanted to obtain funds to start a landscape business. The collector from Maine stored it away only to show it at couple local events.
This 1983 Ford F-150 RWD truck would typically be offered with a 6 cylinder or maybe even better yet, a 302, but instead it comes packing a 351. This original 43,000 mile, strong-running V8 is backed by the smooth shifting C6 automatic transmission. This untouched piece of history has been preserved since the day it was purchased. The drive train is completely original with all tags and markings in place. This truck is so clean, the interior of the bed is just as flawless as the original exterior paint. We are not sure how this truck was driven just over 40k miles unless the owners hovered over the seats and removed their shoes before entering this time capsule. The interior cleanliness is breathtaking and nearly unbelievable.All gauges and auxiliary components work perfectly. The undercarriage represents its age and mileage perfectly. The truck is as mechanically sound as it looks. Recently, the truck has received a fresh oil change using Valvoline VR-1, lube, new brakes pads, rotors and brake line flush all the way around, new fuel pump, master cylinder, and complete exhaust.
